Jimmy Evans Company is looking for a sharp, self-motivated team member to join our GPS department. You’ll support our civil engineering and construction survey work, and we’ll train you to fly drones for survey and mapping.
- Use CAD software to prepare, review, and work with site and plan data
- Learn to plan and conduct drone flights for survey and mapping projects
- Support field and office workflows, including data processing and checking results
- Work with the team to keep projects moving on schedule
What we’re looking for:
- Background in CAD of some kind (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar)
- Comfortable with computers and quick to pick up new software
- Willingness to learn drone operations for survey purposes
- Willingness to earn an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Strong initiative: you see what needs doing and do it without waiting to be asked
- Able to read, speak, and write English fluently
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors when needed
- Experience with GPS/GNSS, surveying, or construction layout Experience in civil engineering, land development, or construction is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
Training and Certification:
We will pay for your first attempt at the FAA Part 107 exam. If a retake is needed, the cost is the employee’s responsibility.
